Yes, she was just thinking...again! I have come across several Zone members who struggle with some sort of mental illness/trauma, e.g. abuse, drug addiction, depression, bipolar, anxiety, dissociative disorders, etc. . I was thinking that it would be great if we could start a support group for those who would be interested in helping others through these types of issues. However, I know this is a really sensitive topic, so people might not want to reply to this post. It would probably be best for interested parties to send private messages or email me, and I'll be glad to get one started!

not a bad idea to starting up one though, but we are talking about serious sensative matter here, that might need professional help.

there're thousands or millions of support group you can found on the web thats helpful. over all, we're lack of resources here, but if you go to the web forem or even mailling list or yahoogroups or googlegroups, they would have more resources that can help people in real need.

but, if there's what you want to do, starting up a support group of somekind, i would like to contribute my bits in anyway i can. PM me if you need to, Rose

She could start her own group on Google Groups. It is accessible to the blind, hence making it easy for Zoners to join.

Then, when she gets the group up and running, she could post something letting Zoners know about the development of it so they can come and join.

I think this is a good idea, Rose. But like others have said, I would do it as an email group, like a Google or yahoo group. I would not try to start it here on the Zone. Too many members would use sensitive information in a malicious way. If/when you get the group set up, post the info here, and I imagine you'll have plenty of people joining in. I may be one of them.
